The word on the street is that Justice Moreno, the sole California Supreme Court Justice who stood with us in support of repealing Proposition 8 and wrote an eloquent dissent to the majority opinion is getting a lot
of hate mail for his strong stand for equality.

In his dissenting opinion, Justice Moreno is the only jurist that had the courage to stand by his convictions and his opinion is the only one that made sense. He punched holes in the majority opinion’s logic by citing their very own precedent setting decision from 2008 that struck down Prop 22 as unconstitutional.
